Video – Home away from home – Old Age Homes

This video very sensitively portrays the plight of the elderlies in India, and why they are forced to live in Old Age Homes (OAH).

Take for example, the elderly woman who says she was beaten by her daughter-in-law, and her son therefore asked her to move to an old age home. Or for that matter the elderly man who was duped by his brothers and thrown out by children.

More and more elderlies are preferring to live in Old Age Homes than live with abusive children who are not even ready to own them.
